Apple acquires Lala
Apple has just acquired the struggling yet highly popular music streaming site Lala. Apple has been under pressure to start offering a music streaming service to compete with services such as Zune Pass and more crucially Spotify. Lala has been under pressure to start turning a profit. Apple knows how to turn a profit. Sounds like a good idea.
Now let's see how they manage to squeeze yet another feature into iTunes' UI.

Sort of reminds me of how Microsoft used to crush innovation (whether intentionally or not) through its acquisitions... it's hard to see this as the birth of something new, rather than just the death of something cool.
